FOR GERMAN HABITUAL CRIMINALS

(Rec. 11.30) LONDON, Feb. 26. The Berlin radio says: Herr Rotenberger, Under-Secretary to the Ministry of Justice, in a broadcast, said: The death penalty is the only remedy for acts of violence and for habitual criminals. It does not matter whether criminal acts are serious. It is sufficient that, if persistent criminal acts are proved to be dangerous to the community. Accordingly. acts of violence to women in blackouts, and thefts of luggage and posal parcels, particularly' those addressed to soldiers, have been punished by death. Nobodv must consider himself so irreplaceable that he can commit criminal acts without punishment.
