COMMUNIST PARTY

British Ban LONDON, Feb. 19. . The National Executive of the Labour Party has again refused to place before the next Labour Party conference an application from Communist Party for affiliation. In a statement the Executive said: The request was refused because the Communist Party’s complete irresponsibility in British politics and general outlook is entirely out of harmony with the Labour 'Party’s philosophy and objectives. Labour’s attitude is influenced by the hope of great social changes in the post-war world. It believes the affiliation of the Communists before Russia’s entry into the war dishonestly exploited every possible grievance. The statement finally asks all members to “visualise the wide difference between the prospect now before us and the unrelieved agony which the world would have been enduring if the Labour Party’s policy of standing up to aggression had been. submerged by the Communist Party’s policy.”
