BRUNNER NOTES
[Our Own Correspondent.] Mr and Mrs Ellwood and family, of Christchurch, are the guests of Mr and Mrs G. Dixon, of Taylorville. Mrs and Mrs J. Harper, of Taylorville, are visiting Granity. Mr J. Harper, junr., is visiting relatives in Blackball. ’ Mr C. Dixon, of the R.N.Z.A.F. is at present home on leave. Miss' M'. O’Brien has left for Christchurch to attend the Teachers’ Training College. Miss N. Smith, who has been visiting her parents in Taylorville, has returned to Christchurch. Mr E. Blance, is visiting his parents. Miss E. Gibson has returned from a visit to Christchurch. A very, successful dance was held by the Brunner Concert Party in the Taylorville Pavilion during the weekend, the proceeds being for soldiers’ parcels. A light sit-down supper was served, and music for dancing was supplied by Miss M. Watson. The Brunner W.W.S.A. had its first parade in the Wallsend Hall on Thursday night. There was a good attendance, but it is hoped that it will increase this year.
