CRASH IN PERU

NEW YORK, Jan. 25. Wreckage of a missing • airliner, carrying 15 passengers, was sighted from the air,. 350. miles south-east of Lima, in Northern Peru. Rescue parties went into the mountains to search. Those on the plane included two British diplomatic service members. Signs of life were noted. . A search party is proceeding to the spot. (Rec. 12.40) LIMA (Peru), Jan. 26. A British diplomat, John Howard, is the sole survivor of the fifteen aboard the plane which crashed ,in Peru. The remainder were burned to death.
