AIR FORCE CRASHES
TWO IN NEW ZEALAND Six Lives Lost [Per Press Association] WELLINGTON, Jan. 26. An aircraft of the R'.N.Z.A.F. engaged in operational training exercise, flew into a cliff during a fog yes - terday. The entire crew of four lost, their lives. The personnel concerned were • — Flight Lieutenant John Humfrey • Deans. Wife, Mrs J. H. Deans, of Bulls.
Flying Officer Fames Derrick Philson. Father, R. T. Philson, of Auckland.
Sergeant John Andrews Power. Father, J. L. Power, of Okato, New Plymouth. Sergeant Hugh Winton Steel. Father, George Steel, of Wellington. Two more members of R.N.Z.A.F. lost their lives when an aircraft engaged in flying training crashed early yesterday afternoon. The personnel concerned were:—
Pilot Officer Rolph Joseph Benfield. Wife. Mrs S. J. Benfield, of Wellington. Pilot Officer Cyril Henry Comrie. Wife., Mrs H. Comrie, Wellington.
