LONDON, Jan. 23

A joint India communique reports that fighting continued in the Arakan district on Friday. The Allied forces shelled Japanes_e positions at Donbaik, on the Mayu peninsula, and on the following day Donbaik was bombed three times.' . . ■Targets in the Prome district attacked on Frida-v included the aerodrome, where nine lorries were destroyed. Shipping on the Arakan coast was attacked. Two Allied aircraft are missing. . ■ A later communique stated: rc.A.r long-range bombers last night m tacked Japanese airfields at Heho Central Burma, scoring hits on runwavs and dispersal areas. Yesterday the R.A.F. attacked enemy steamers along the Arakan coast. None of ours is missing.
