LIAISON OFFICERS

[Special to N.Z. Press Assn.] (Rec. 9.30.) MELBOURNE, Jan. 10. As leader of the small liaison staff Of British Armv and R.A.F. officers. Major-General P. H. Dewing, D. 5.0., M.C., has arrived in. Australia. This is the first time that a permanent, link between the Australian and United Kingdom armies has been established in Australia.

Air-Commodore L. M. Isitt, recently arrived in Washington aftei- several months in London. New Zealanders in England regretted his departure, fqr he was most popular. He visited many stations throughout Britain, meeting New Zealanders. He also met all ranks at his office at the Air Ministry. He amazed many with his uncanny memory, telling them their names and where he had met them last in Newi Zealand, Air-Commodore Isitt left for America by boat.
