WEDDING

CROSSMAN—BUCKLAND The wedding took place’ at St. Stephen’s Church, Reefton, on Tuesday, of Ena Elizabeth, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs H. J. Bucklam:, Cronadun, and John Henry, elder son of Mr and Mrs G. Crossman, of Reefton. The Rev. Mr Norwell offic.atect, and appropriate music was rendered by the choir, with Mrs J. B. Discacaiti as organist. The bride, escorted by her father, wore white marquisette over taffeta with a fitted, long-waisted bodice. • The softly tucked yoke and hipline i were finished with narrow pleated ’ fr.Hing; and the wide, full skirt coni sLsted of eight gores. The lace veil, .'which had been worn by the bride’s i grandmother, was arranged with a • peak of lace on the forehead and I sprigs of orange blossom on the i side's. She carried a shower boui quel of roses in pastel shades and [ maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids, Misses Margaret > Euckland and Janet Archer, wore pin!: and forget-me-not blue, and their frocks were cut on similar lines to that of the bride. They wore shoulder length veils, trimmed u ith pink and blue forget-me-nots and. rosebuds, anti carried bouquets of blue and pink cornflours, roses, sweet peas and maidenhair fern. Corporal John Buckland, brother of the bride, was best, man, and Mr Frank Archer was groomsman. At the Pacific Lodge Refectory, a large number of guests were received by the bride's mother. who 1 was dressed in a black hand-em-broidered model frock, with hat to tone, a,nd carried a bouquet of red roses. She was assisted by Mrs Crossman, who wore a black ensemble trimmed with white and carried a bouquet of red carnations and maidenha'r fern. When the newly married couple left for a lour of the South Island, the bride wore a sage green costume with lemon and tan accessories.
