U.S. WARPLANE OUTPUT

30 000 MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR

(Rec 8 50) WASHINGTON, Nov. 19. Mr Donald Nelson, Chief of the Production Board, announcadi. that American warplane production will be doubled within a '’ear. He predicted an annual output of , planes costing thirty thousand 1 million doliars which would be seven times the ' pre-war output of the entire American automobile industry. The War Production Board was establishing a new Aircraft Production Board, whose chairman would be Mr Charles Wilson, former president of the General Electric Coy. .for supervising the production of all warplanes. \
