OVER HALF SUBSCRIBED. WELLINGTON. Oct. 29. Subscriptions for the Second Liberty Loan had now reached £5,025,000 said the Acting-Minister of Finance (Mr. Fraser) toi-day.. He added the result was most satisfying and gave every confidence that the remaining five millions would be obtained by November 14, the date on which subscriptions closed. “The Liberty Loan.' said Mr. Fraser, “presented the people on the home front with the opportunity of matching in some degree the efforts of our forces overseas. lam sure they will not fail to respond on this occasion with even greater generosity than before. ’ Mr Fraser said it was the duty of all who had monev to invest to subscribe to the limit of their resources.
