GREEK RESISTANCE
TERRORISM REPORTED. [Aust. & N.Z. Cable Assn.] (Rec. 7.35 LONDON, Oct. 7. The “Times’s” Istanbul correspondent states: Latest news from Greece confirms reports that resistance is stiffening despite the privations and the terror regime of the Gestapo and Italian and German military commands. Two thousand are reported to have been arre.sted in Athens for a series of bomb attacks against the Italians and- Germans. General Mandakas is still holding Cretan mountains, from which German outposts are raided almost daily. Many British, Australians and New Zealanders are fighting under General M'andakas.
