U-BOAT SUNK
BY CANADIAN DESTROYER. (Rec. G. 30) OTTAWA, Sept. 19. The Minister for the Navy, Mr. A. MacDonald, revealed that the destroyer Assiniboine sank a German submarine in a twenty-four hour fogshrouded action, which ended when the destroyer rammed the U-boat and survivors of the crew surrendered.
