U.S.A. TREASURY PROPOSAL.

WASHINGTON, June 15. The U.S. Treasury has formally re. quested the House Ways and Means Committee to impose a hundred per cent, of a war super tax on net incomes exceeding 25,000 dollars, alter the payment of regular income and other taxes. Such a tax would alfect eleven thousand persons, lhe estimated yield would be one hundred and eighty-live million dollars. WASHINGTON, June 6. The House Ways and Means Committee shelved the Administrations proposals to limit single incomes to twenty-five thousand dollars.
