AUSTRALIAN BEER BOTTLES IN MIDDLE EAST.

(Special to N.Z. Press Assn.) CRec. 11.30) SYDNEY, June 15. Salvaged beer bottles at the Australian canteen in the Middle East in two years represent, conservatively £70,000, it was stated at the Canteens Inquiry now' in progress. The number of bottles involved was twelve millions. At one period the Australian Canteen Services had two stores of empties in Palestine, and several in Syria, valued at more than £60,000.
