There were du storms throughout the day. , Two of the Alexandria raiders were shot down by a South African pilot. Others were damaged, ana another Axis aeroplane was .snot down this morning. . One of the aircraft destroyed by the South African pilot burst mto flames in front of his ,gunsother exploded in mid-air when he opened fire on it and pieces o fuselage struck his aircraft He flew right through the anti-aircraft bar rao-e from the ground in order t.o reach and destroy his second victim. All round the explosion was a stream ol'rX antl-flrc/alt fire Mg--Malta has received the following message from Admiral Cunningham. Mn their present ordeal, the people of Malta are constantly in the minds §f all in the Fleet. Your magnificent and stout-hearted way has become known throughout the world.
