Sensation in Virginia

NEW YORK, March 13.

At Abinedon, in Virginia, two U.S. Army deserters, who shot ana killed one agent .of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and seriously wounded another to-day, were captured in an abandoned house during the day. More than one hundred Federal, State and local officers surrounded the house. A number of shots were exchanged before tear gas bombs forced the soldiers to come out. The Federal Bureau of Investigation allege that the soldiers stole supply pistols and ammunition from Ogelthorpe before escaping, and that later they kidnapped a tqxi-driver and escaped to Tennessee. Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation traced them to a cafe, but the soldiers, who still were in uniform, blazed away at them as soon as the agents identified themselves. Agent Tracev was killed instantly, and Agent Tignor was seriously wounded. In resulting confusion, the two soldiers temporarily escaped, but later they were captured as above stated in the house.
