SOLOMON ISLANDS

Japanese Landing LONDON, March 13. A Royal Australian Air Force communique states that a Japanese naval force was seen off Kessa Buka, an island in the Solomons group, on Tuesday. No details have been given, Sydney reports statin<r that the Japanese have landed at one point, although the strength of the force is not given. The enemy naval force was sighted by Royal Australian reconnaissance aeroplanes, which reported that three days ago Japanese vessels were seen heading for the Solomon Islands, about 150 miles southeast of Rabaul in New Britain.
