P.A. WELLINGON, March 15. . The Wellington R.C. meeting was held in fine weather, and there was a large attendance. Palfrey, runnerup to Battledress in the New Zealand Dlerby!, finished on attractively to win the New Zealand St. Leger in a tight finish with Balblair and Kevin. Salutation, an outstanding three-year-old filly, had her sixth win for the season in the Thompson Handicap, taking the lead, at the distance post to win easily.
