FROM ASSASSINATION

Herr Von Papen and Mrs Von Papen were thrown to the ground, but were not injured, when a bomb exploded 17 yards from them, as they were walking along Ataturk Boulevard. Just before the explosion, a man was seen walking in the opposite direction from the Von Papen's, carrying an object wrapped in rags, which is believed to have been a bomb. ■The bomb blew a man to pieces, slightly injured two young girls, and considerably damaged two flats occupied by senior members of the staff of the British Embassy. VON PAPEN'S LUCK. (Rec. 1.20.) LONDON, Feb. 25. Some of Herr Von Papen’s clothes were torn off by the force of the explosion.
