an official communique concerning last nieht’s air activity over Britain. Twentv-eight British aircraft were lost during the week ended at dawn on February 22. Over' the Continent, five bombers and three aircraft of the Coastal Command, and two fighters were lost, and in the Mildle East 18 aircraft. In the same neriod, four German bombers were destroyed over or round the British Isles, three German fighters over the Continent, ten enemy aircraft in the Middle East, and five were sunk bv Brit'sh warships and a merchant ship.
