WASHINGTON, Feb. 21 The United States Navy has made an announcement as follows: Six American destroyers, co-operating with Dutch warships, have sunk two enemy destroyers off the island of Bali, at the eastern end of Java; while the American vessels have suffered only slight damage and a few casualties.

Three Cruisers Hit AND SEVERAL TRANSPORTS. FOUR ATTACKS BY AMERICAN BOMBERS. (Rec. 7.30.) RUGBY, Feb. 21. American bomber planes have carried out four intensive attacks on Japanese fleet units off the coaA of the island of Bari, at the eastern end of Java. The bombers scored numerous direct hits .on three Japanese cruisers and several transports states a Washington communique.
