WALL STREET SLUMP
FOLLOWS SINGAPORE NEWS. (Rec. 8.55). NEW YORK, Dec. 17. The news from Singapore and from Borneo has depressed the New York Stock Exchange to-day, which has 'had its poorest day since December 9. Leading shares yielded from one to four points. Nearlv all of the stock groups have participated in the slump, and U.S. Government bonds) were barely steady, while the principal commodities were also lower. Two Australian Government issues, the five per cents, of 1955 and 195 <, however, were fractionally higher, but Queensland six per cent, ctocx, 1947. dropped eight points.
