TO DISCARD PANAMA FLAG. WASHINGTON, November 19. Colonel Knox, at a Press conference to-day, said that armed American merchantmen will be sailing in the north Atlantic within 10 days. Those now sailing under the Panama flag will be promptly transferred to the' United States registry. It will probably take three months to arm all other American merchanr.men. Colonel Knox disclosed that the captured German freighter, Odenwald, was one of a number of German ships which had been chartered to Japanese interests. (Rec. 11.5.) WASHINGTON, Nov. 19. Colonel Knox said it was intended to arm U.S.A, merchantmen in the Pacific as well as on the Atlantic routes.
