BAY OF PLENTY SEAT
LABOUR CANDIDATE CHOSEN. WELLINGTON, November 19. The Secretary of the New Zealand Labour Party announces that Mr. Charles Mills, J.P., has been selected to contest the Bay of Plenty seat at the by-election, on behalf of the Labour Party. He is a returned soldier, . having served three years overseas in the last war, and has a long record of public service in the Bay of Plenty, Until recently, he lived in Te Karaka, where for 17 years, he was a successful business man and dairy farmer. He recently entered into business at but still retains farming interests in Te Kanaka. He is 47, married, and has five children.
