Prices were lower to-day at Addington sale, on which Messrs H. matson and Co* report as iohows: — .b'ai bheep: Tne entry was 5000 head, in rair nuaiity, w.th a smaller; proportion of ewes. Prices were firm. Extra prime wetners sold w 30s lOd, medium to heavy 21s to 275, ngnt and orfinary 16s 6d to 2i>s 6u, extra prime ewes to 26s 7d, medium to heavy ewes 14s 6d. to 20s, ngnt and ordinary 11s 6d to 14s. Eat Cattie: tne entry was 524, or mixed quality, and in excess of requiremnts. There was a decline in values. There was a large percentage of mediocre cows. Extra prime steers sold to £l9 12s 6d, medium and heavy £l3 5s to £l7, light and ordinary £lO to £l2 10s, extra prime heifers £l5 Is 6d, prime £l2. light anu medium £7 5s to £9 10s. extra pr.me cows £l3 12s 6d. prime cows £lO 15s, light and medium £4 10s to £B. Vealers: There was a fairly heavy entry, a large proportion being small calves, while there was a small number of large runners. The market Was easier. Large runners sold t»' £8 16s, good vealers to £5 16s, large calves to £3. Pigs: There was an overflow pork entry- The market was easier at the start, and it weakened as it progressed. Choppers were in heavy supply and eased also. Choppers sold for £4 Ils. The average porker price was 6d to Bd. A heavy yarding o.t large entry of baconers. Values over all were firm-. The average price was 6d to Bfiid. A heavy yarding of store pi<AS met an excellent sale. Large stores sold to 48s, slips to 35s f and best weaners to 29s 6d.
