The Okarito dredgemaster reports a wash-up of 430 z. 14dwt. for 122 hours. „ , j j The Gillespie’s Beach dredge obtained a return of 18oz. 6dwt. for 133 hours, from 15,700 yards. The Grey River dredging return for the week ended October 1 was 99 hours, 68,200 cubic yards, 2210 z. The September totals were 477 hours, 351,250 cubic vards. 962 oz. The Moonlight Goldfields Company Ltd, advise that the wash-up at the company’s claim on October 3 was 35 ozs. for 148 hours’ sluicing. The Slab Hut dredge, which is to work an area near Mai-Mai. was successfully launched on Monday afternoon. Good progress has been made with the construction of the dredge, which is expected to commence operations in January.
