No cases of infectious disease was reported on the West Coast last week. In Canterbury district one case of tuberculosis, one of diptheria, one of septic abortion, and two or scarlet fever, were reported.

The roll for the Westland electorate closed on Monday, 2000 names having oeen removed from the roll, and during the past few weeks notices have been sent to all electors not known to the Registrar. When these notices were returned unopened, a second notice has been sent, and u this is returned unclaimed the name is removed from the list. It is possible that electors who have failed to notify their change of address have been removed. The supplementary roll opened on Tuesday.
