POLISH DEMAND
FOR RELEASE OF 300,000 PRISONERS. BY THE SOVIET. (Rec. 8.10). LONDON, July 23. “The Times” says: Interest has been aroused in Ankara by information that the Poles in the RussianPolish negotiations are demanding that three hundred thousand Poles, who are prisoners of the Soviet, should be released and sent to join the British forces in the Middle East. “The Turks consider that such an eventuality would be likely to have far-reaching effects on the military situation in the Middle East.”
