Heenan (.chairman), G. Heinz, G. H. Chapman, A. R. Elcock, J. A. Murdoch, F. Freitas, W. Jamieson. T P. O’Neil, T. W. Dim. The tender of Vale and Co., oi Christchurch, was accepted for completion of the heating installation at the hospital, the work to ne compieced in two months. It was resoived that the Secretar, submit a report on the number o. cases treated, and other mutteis, Il was reported that the Board had made an inspection oi the Maternity Home in Hampden Street, where additions and renovations were almost completed, and the home had been brought up to date. The chairman and secretary were authorised to represent the Board at the Nurses’ nail. It was agreed to do all possible fo> soldier patients. It was decidea to pav the wages of the domestic, nursing and outside staffs fortnightlv tne secretary being instructed to make the arrangements, for this change as early as possible. A statement covering operations at the farm at the Hospital was submitted bv the chair- j man of the Farm Committee. Mr W A. Jamieson, and disclosed a profit of £166 for the year. Mr Murdoch said the report was very pleasant reading. It was a satisfaction to know that the patients were receiving the hi-h est possible quality cream and milk. Mr O’Neil said he had been one who were sceptical as to the success or tlm farm, but he was now assured, from the figures placed before the Boaid that the farm was a good investment Even if it did not pay, the greatest good was the hi"h qualitv of cream and milk being given the l patients. Mr J. A Hardy tendered his resignation from the Board’s employ. It was resolved to forward him a letter expressing thanks for the att.on- i tion he had given to his duties wtrle emnloved at the Hospital. A committee comprising the chairman. Messrs G. H. Chapman and G Heinz was empowered to complete negotiations for the heating contract. Golf.—’me L.G.U. and C grade medals were won by Miss M. Adamson in the silver medal division, and Mrs Stevenson won the bronze medal division. The fo.lowing cards were returned: Miss M. Adamson 89/15/74, Miss E. Cooke 99/14/85, Miss King 103/15/88. Mrs Stevenson 108/35/73, Mrs Mclntyre 102/26/76, Mrs Harper 107/31/76, Mrs R. Ross 98/21/77, Mis; E. Dale 101/30/81, Mrs Pate.s.on 112/19/84, Mrs Ecclesfield 103/19/84, Mrs Cooke 108/23/85, Mrs Guthrey 120/35/85, Miss Anderson 112/25/87, Miss Knight 109/21/88. Miss Hogg 125/36/89. A hidden partner competition was won by Mrs Mclntyre and Mrs Ecclesfield. The best cards in L.G.U. foursomes were those of Mrs Dawe and Mrs J. Michel. The July bogey in this division win be played on July 23. A redutcion in handicap is that .of Mrs Mclntyre from 27 to 25.
