P.A WELLINGTON, July 17. In the House to-day, an ntimation that steps were being taken to have the matter dealt with promptly. w:s given bv the Minister of National Service, Hon R. Semp'e, in lemv to an urgent question bv Mr J. A. Roy (Nat., Clutha) who asked if his attention had been drawn to a L:?te-n-.ent that a umt of t h e Guard in the South Island had refired to parade owing to a member not _ reee’ving comnensat'on for an injury while on parade. He asked if trie M ; nister wou’d ’ake immediMo steps to have the matter atten ’ed to, thus preventing a se’’ : ous break in the training of the Home Guard.
