R.N.Z.A.F. Band Arriving Soon

The Band of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, that is reputed to be among the foremost military bands in the British Empire, wi(J, begin its Greymouth season at the Greymouth Regent Theatre; on Thursday next, May 29, at 8 p.m. Already intense enthusiasm has been created here over the coming visit. Thousands of people have been thrilled by their music and marching in other parts of New Zealand, where nightly the scenes of enthusiasm have been without precedent in the history of band music in the Dominion. The smart uniforms .of the men. their perfect alignment, their swinging, long-striding style of marching and the heady intoxication of their playing whips the lovers of military bands into a fever of enthusiasm at every performance. Their marching is marvellous and a colourful, spectacle. After having seen and heard them, it will be the consensus of opinion that the Band of the Royal New Zealand Air Force is the most perfect musical and symmetrical combination ever heard or seen in Greymouth. At Victoria Park on Friday, May 30, at 2.30 p.m., the Band will give an exhibition of slow and quick-step marching. This display is really thrilling and spectacular, and will be long remembered by those who will be privileged to w/frness it. The Band will also render during the afternoon a programme of popular music.
