MR FRASER IN EGYPT Tireless Tour of N.Z. Camps (Received May 23, at midnight.) [From N.Z.E.F. Official News Service. 1 CAIRO, May 21. New Zealanders sometimes forget about many small formations of specialists who are serving with the British forces in Egypt, but the Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, is making it his business not to forget any of his soldiers. This morning. Mr. Fraser visited a formation of engineers stationed at a large British camp. The men gave him a rousing reception. Mr. Fraser met and talked New Zealand news with every man in the formation. He inspected their equipment, their messes, tents, and cookhouses, and he was pleased to find that the men were comfortable and well qared for. A most remarkable feature of the Prime Minister’s visit to the. troops al,, all camps has been the tireless manner in which ho has been able to chat with hundreds of men on topics which are of interest -to himself and to the men with whom he is speaking. He seems to know every town in New Zealand, and at least one person whom the soldier knows, too.
