WORK RESUMING
SLAUGHTERING DISPUTE.
TRIBUNAL TO ADJUDICATE.

Work will be resumed to-morrow morning on the chain at the Belfast works of Thomas Borthwick and Sons. Mr. R. T. Bailey, officer in charge of the Labour Department, reported that to-night, after branch workers had held their meeting at the Trades’ Hall, A request to all of the men to report for duty was made by Mr. Bailey. The meeting of the workers decided to accept the company's offer to start the chain. That offer was rejected by the Branch Executive on Saturday. On its being renewed by the Company to-day, it formed a basis of discussion at the meeting of members. . The chain, which will begin work to-morrow, will include two men who originally were selected by the Company. A promise was given to both the Company and the workers by Mr. Bailey that the appointment of a tribunal to decide the issues in the dispute would be made without delay by Hon. P. C. Webb, Minister for Labour.
