MAGISTRATE’S COURT
GREYMOUTH SITTING Mr G. G. Chisholm, S.M., presided at a sitting of the Magistrate’s Court at Greymouth yesterday, when judgment by default was given for plaintiff in each of the following civil cases:-— E. J. Rundle v. R. H. Wakelin, £1 18s, costs 12s. C. A. Lowe v. Tt. Warlick, £2 10s, costs £1 6s 6d. Elsie Coles v. J. Hemera, £2 6s lOd, costs £1 7s 6d. 1 S. R. McAra v. Frank McHugh, £2 | Ils 3d, costs £1 4s 6d. 1 P. H. Martin v. Frank Griffin, £B7 3s sd, costs £5 7s 6d. H. W. D. Rodgers v. W. Page, £ll 8s 2d, costs £2 15s. J. F. C. Moore v. A. A. Fielding, £4 4s, costs £1 3s 6d. On a judgment summons, H. Stewart was ordered to pay forthwith Io the Westland Drivers’ Union the sum of £2 10s, in default 3 days’ imprisonment. Kathleen Dulcie Daniel was granted an order for possession of tenement in Murray Street, from Robert i Hall, on or before Saturday, April 12. Mr W. Douglas Taylor, who appeared for plaintiff, said that a house had been secured for defendant, and possession could be taken by Saturday. Costs amounting to £1 3s and solicitor’s fee £1 Us were allowed plaintiff and an order was also made that the ' amount of rent in Court be paid to i plaintiff.
