[Our Own Correspondent] REEFTON, March 17. The Reefton Company of the Home Guard held their first daylight parade on Sunday morning, when some 120 members paraded at the Gymnasium, and marched to the Racecourse, where the platoons were instructed in squad drill by the commanders and members of the n.c.o.’s class. Company drill .Under Mr Mathison was also practised, and after the morning’s work, the unit marched back to the Gymnasium. Mr W. Gore-Porter, having been appointed Battalion Commander for the Inangahua Horne 1 Guard Battalion. with headquarter’s centre at Reefton, Mr W. J. Humphries becomes Company Commander at Reefton. Mr A. F, Wells succeeds Mr Humphries as Commander of No--3 Platoon. Runanga bowlers by 143 to. 99 defeated Reefton yesterday in a match for the Westland Breweries’ Cup | here.
