DOMINION NEWS

COMPENSATION AWARD WELLINGTON, February 14. Compensation to the extent of £2OO. with costs, was awarded to Marija Lipenovitch, of Lumbarda, Jugoslavia, in a claim against Hamner’s Lime Company, 1934, Ltd., of Napier. In his judgment, Mr Justice O'Regan said that the case had been before the Court on a number of occasions, this time to settle the extent of dependence. The Judge intimated that, though there was no evidence that deceased made any remittances to his wife during the four years preceding his death, he was satisfied that the wife had suffered substantia] loss in that, had he lived, the family would ere long have been reunited in New Zealand.
