YOUNG GERMANS
Break from Camp INTO VICTORIA BUSH. I Received February 8, 12.15 a.m.) MELBOURNE, February 7Three young German internees, after springing upon the guard and roping them, escaped while they were working outside of their camp to-day. The internees had been driven in a military truck to the scene of their labours. Alter they had overpowered the guard, they took the key of the military truck and threw it away, so a:: to prevent their pursuit. The escapees are now being hunted for in dense bush. Descriptions of them have been broadcast. There are many police engaged on the search. The men sneak English fairly well, but have a German accent.
