The River Plate Economic Conference, in which five South American Republics are taking part, has, at its final session, passed 26 draw, conventions, laying the groan i work for an important economw Moc in South America. It is aimed at the immediate intensification of trade and of production. It also has established the nrmciple of an eventual Customs Union, which the five contracting powers hav e undertaken to study.
