Darby Munro Suspended

(Received Feb. 8, 1.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, February (. The Australian Jockey Club has revoked the license of the leading jockey Darby Munro as the result of a betting transaction on December 18, which was made the subject of an’ exhaustive investigation by the stewards. A city businessman had complained to the stewards that . he had invested one hundred and fifty pounds for Munro’s mount Cryon in the Encourage Handicap at Ascot on December 18, and that he was not satisfied with the way in which Munro rode Cryon, who finished fourth. The Incident has caused considerable comment, which has mainly been directed at the A.J.C. for Its delay in reaching a decision.
