Baldwin, Railway Department, Greymouth, left yesterday on transfer to Wellington. The Princess Royal has been appointed Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals, stated a London cablegram. Sergeant P. V. Renai, R.A.F., has been killed in action. His father is Mr. H. After acting as a Reuter correspondent in South Africa he was appointed Reuter’s South African editor in London in 1902. He returned to South Africa in 1905. but he went to London to succeed Baron de Reuter in control of the Reuter organisation throughout the world, after the Baron's death in 1915. He is 64 years old. The death occurred at Versailles no January 20, of Sir Thomas Barclay, who was born 87 years ago at Dunfermline. He went to Paris as a' correspondent of “The Times,” in 1876, but resigned in 1882, to devote himself to French law practice. He founded the Franco-Scottish Society in 1895, and since 1900 was identified with agitation for and the preservation of good understanding with France. He was Liberal M.P. for Blackburn in 1910. The election of the following members of the Public Service Superannuation Board was gazetted last night: Representatives of contributors belonging to Department other than the Post and Telegraph and Police Force, Mr J. H. Jerram (General Manager of the State Fire and Accident Insurance Office), Mr H. W. C. Mackintosh (Commissioner of Crown Lands), Mr R.
