fOur Own Correspondent] HOKITIKA, January 14. Hon. W. Nash, Minister of Finance, and Hon. P. C. Webb Minister of Labour and Mines, will arrive here from Greymouth to-morrow afternoon, and in the evening at All Saints’ Hall, the Minister will be tendered a public reception, when the Mayor, Mr. G. A. Perry, will presdie. En route from Greymouth, the Ministers will visit Kumara, and also will see a number of gold dredges. On Thursday they proceed south, visiting Ross in the morning and making stops at midday at Harihari, and in the afternoon at Wataroa. Thursday night will be spent at the Franz Josef Glacier Hotel, while the Fox Glacier will be visiter later in the week. If the weather is fine, Jackson Bay will also be visited the Ministers making the journey by aeroplane. The winner of a £5 note raffled by the Hokitika Businessmen’s Association, Mrs. W. Berry, of Harihari, has handed the prize back as a donation to the Businessmen’s patriotic fund. The m.v. Gael is due here to-night. She sails for Okuru to-morrow night, proceeding on Saturday to Jackson Bay. The main district electors list lor the Borough is now being compiled, and those not enrolled should make application to the Town Clerk. In a tennis match at All Saints’ courts the results were: Jubilee Club S games, 73 sets; All Saints’ Club S sets 75 games. Only two games thus separated the teams. The Patriotic Committee has received the following letter dated the 28th. December, 1940, and signed by four members of the Divisional Cavalry Squadron, Middle East forces. “Each of the ’undersigned received a Christmas parcel with your card included, and we wish to thank you ano your members for having made the gift possible. We were highly dolighted with the extent of the parcels. We can assure you they were greatly appreciated. As we spent Christmas on guard in a lonely spo! away from our camp, they were the more particularly welcome.” Recent visitors to Hotel Westland include:—W. D. Wray (Melbourne), F. and P.
