IN NEW SOUTH WALES Railways Badly Dislocated lAus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.] (Received January 9 12.15 a.m.) SYDNEY’, January 8. Train traffic has completely been dislocated by the floods in the central, west and north-west of New South Wales. The express trains from Brisbane to Sydney, and from Sydney Io Brisbane have been held up near 'ramworth and Quirindi by the collapse of a large three-span steel bridge. The branch lines from Tamworth to north-west centres are out. of action. This is due to wastiaways and to damage to the rail tracks.

Several branch lines in the central west are also out of commission, and the Railway Department announce the suspension of traffic m the case of eight inter-State expresses and country mail services. Rivers and creeks have been converted into swirling torrents, endangering the lives oF people. The floods have caused heavy losses of stock and widespread damage lo roads and private property.
