NO DIVVY

Centennial Exhibition WELLINGTON, December 18. A decision voluntarily to wind up the New Zealand Centennial Exhioition Co., Ltd., was reached at the fourth ordinary general meeting of shareholders . to-day. The Chairman of Directors, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop, said he could see no monetary return for the shareholders. A letter was read from Hon. W. Nash stating that the Government would like to help the smaller shareholders by making' them some return of their capital* but further' consideration had shown that this proposal was fraught with difficulties and anomalies which it did, not appear possible to' avoid. Mr. L. C. Forgie, Secretary of the

Company, was appointed liquidator, and the Directors were authorised to continue to act in negotiations with the Government for taking over the 'assets.
