Two N.Z. Passengers TAKEN ABOARD GERMAN RAIDER. WELLINGTON, December 17. Cable advice has been received 'that Miss 'Eveline Harcourt, elder daughter of the late Mr J. B, Harcourt, and Miss Phillippa Acland, daughter of Mr H. D. Acland, Christchurch, were passengers on the ship Port Hobart from which the Mackay radio station of America picked up a message, on or about November 24, stating that she was being shelled by a German raider in the Atlantic, some 500 miles north-east of Porto Rico. The latest information received is that the passengers and the crew were taken aboard the German raider.
