PAPER SHORTAGE. AUCKLAND, December 14. To reduce the heavy demand for wrapping paper during the Christmas shopping rush, the Minister for Supply (the Hon. D. G. Sullivan) to-day urged that baskets and shopping bags be carried by people making purchases. Scandinavian supplies of paper had 1 been completely cut off, he said, and another reason for economy was to reduce the demand on shipping space.
