[Per Press Association! WELLINGTON, Decemuer 16. The weather report and forecast are as follows: —■ General situation: An_ anti-cyclone still covers the New Zealand area, but a weak depression is located in south-west.. Tasman Sea. Forecast Winds light to moderate and variable but northerlies freshening over the South Island during th e day. Seas (N.Z< waters) slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea Light variable winds and slight seas, but fresh northerns ar e setting in over southern parts, with seas increasing. The weather is continuing fine and mild over most of the country;- rather cloudv. however, in Canterbury, and unsettled conditions tire developing later in the extreme south-west.
