THE WEATHER
[Per Press Associations WELLINGTON, December 3. The weather report and forecast are as follows: — General situation: An extensive anti-cyclone is centred over New Zealand and is moving slowly eastward, and a shallow disturbance is located east of Tasmania. Forecast: Winds over the North Island light to moderate and variable; over the South Island, moderate to fresh northerlies prevailing. Seas (New Zealand waters): Slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to moderate northerly winds soon prevailing, and gradually freshening in the south; seas slight or moderate. Weather continuing fair to cloudy generally, except for some scattered morning drizzle . Temperatures mild to warm.
