Mr A. Gutberlet, of Rcefton P.O. staff, is spending his vacation with his parents at Dobson. Mrs J.,Todd, Taylorville, leaves on Wednesday morning on a visit to Christchurch. Miss M. Franklin left on Saturday lor Christchurch, where her mmriagp to Mr J. Calder takes place. Miss L. Blake, who has been relieving on the Taylorville, school start left yesterday on return to Christchurch. , . Miss O. J. Richardson, who has been visiting her mother at Wallsend, left on Saturday on return io Hokitika. . The Whist drive held in layiorville school on Saturday evening was won by Mrs M. McDonald. Mrs W- Purdy returned on Saturdav from a visit to Christchurch. Mr J. Rowlands returned yesterday from a holiday visit to Fie was accompanied from Christchuich by Mrs Rowlands. Mr and Mrs T. Hillier returned to Dobson on Tuesday from a holiday spent in Christchurch. A number of workmen have commenced work in the elimination of th e dangerous curves on both railway and road between Dobson and Walls end.
