BRITISH LOSSES Trawler Sunk [Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.] LONDON, August 4. ’ The Admiralty announced that His Majesty’s trawler “Cape Finisterre” was lost on August 2, after an attack by four enemy aircraft, one of which was shot down. The others severely damaged the “Cape Finisterre,” which subsequently sank. SHIP TORPEDOED. CADIZ, August 4. Two British ships are proceeding to Gibraltar, with 35 survivors from a British vessel torpedoed in the Atlantic. LOSS OF THREE NAVAL VESSELS. LONDON, August 4. The Admiralty announce that the casualties in H.M.S. “Wren” were four officers killed and two wounded, 31 ratings killed and six wounded. Casualties in H.M.S. “Ardent” were two officers missing, one rating killed, and 143 missing. Casualties in H.M.S. “Acasta” were two officers killed and six missing, 11 ratings killed and 140 missing. The “Ardent” and “Acasta” are presumed to have been lost at Narvik on June 10. The' loss of the “Wren” was announced on July 29. The missing from the “Acasta” in-1 elude Commander C. E. Glasfurd, sloop Laburnum on the New Zealand station, in 1924-25. TRAWLERS GET ENEMY BOMBER. LONDON, August 4. Two British trawlers have arrived at a British port, after shooting down a German bomber in the Channel. A Dornier unsuccessfully bombed and machine-gunned the trawlers, one of which brought down the raider. A speedboat picked up a dead member of the German crew.
