N.Z. HOSPITAL

In South of England

MR JORDAN’S VISIT

(Received July 31, 1.15 a.m.) LONDON, July 30.

The New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr W. J. Jordan, accompanied by Mrs Jordan and Miss Gwen Jordan, visited Number One New Zealand Hospital in the South of England, which is under the charge of Colonel McKillop, and which was recently constructed. It consists of hutments and includes an operating theatre and X-ray apparatus. The doctors, N.C.O.'s and staff occupy adjacent houses.

Mr, Mrs and Miss Jordan also viewed a convalescent home, a fine residence most suitable for the purpose, which was made available by the generosity of a local lady. Mr Jordan was' impressed with the whole of the arrangements.

There are about one hundred and thirty minor illness cases at present under treatment at the hospital.
